Overview
CEREC
is our new on-site computerized milling system for creating beautiful, durable,
natural looking fillings, crowns and veneers while you wait. CEREC restorations
are custom crafted in one visit while you're in the chair, using a high quality
dental ceramic. This material has the same translucence, color and brilliance as your
natural healthy teeth.
How it works
- We take an optical impression of your tooth with the system's hand-held camera.
- With the help of the CEREC computer, we custom design your restoration.
- A magnified image of of your prepared tooth appears on the screen.
- The CEREC mills the porcelain ceramic filling, crown or veneer from a ceramic block in just a few minutes. It's then permanently bonded to your teeth and you're done in one visit!
Advantages of CEREC
- The dentist performs the restoration in a single session, usually in less than one hour.
- No need for the dentist to make an impression and send it to a lab.
- No return visits for the patient.
- The restoration is natural looking, as it is made out of tooth-colored ceramic material.
- Ceramic material is biocompatible, high grade, anti-abrasive and plaque resistant.
- Metal free, no silver colored fillings
- Allows the dentist to save more of the healthy part of the tooth
- Extremely precise procedure
Fillings (inlays & onlays)

Before: Silver/metallic fillings

- Decay can develop under filling material. Doctors cannot see decay under the dark filling.
After: With CEREC restorations
- Attractive tooth color
- Preserves more of the natural tooth structure
- Bonding actually strengthens the teeth
- Metal-free; no "metallic" taste
What kind of procedures is CEREC for?
